The City of Ekurhuleni has approved nine new names for the Harambee BRT bus stations in Kempton Park and Thembisa. The bus stations, fitted with high technology equipment for access, will once completed be used by commuters to get on board the Harambee buses.

The Member of Mayoral Committee for Transport Planning Cllr Phelisa Nkunjana said we are making every means possible to push for the completion the Harambee BRT project in the area of Thembisa and Kempton Park. We want to move to other areas where the service will still be of high demand.

“In 2020 the City had assigned a group of young fine artists to create innovative artwork on these bus stations, we will now move swiftly to brand these stations with the new names that the Council has approved.
